Our story starts during the summer break of 2016, Sunny Pradhan and Aadarsh Chhetri, students of Sikkim Manipal University, movie, enthusiasts wanted to make a short film without any filmmaking experiences. They wrote a story for a horror short film and started casting their friends and classmates. They asked for a camera and different types of equipment for filming their first short film. After finalizing the pre-production process we still needed a title but couldn’t come up with a suitable title so they started walking around the MG Marg Road back and forth for an hour and they finally come up with the title “The Last Vacation”.

After that day, they started filming for a whole week and finished. And while they were editing their short film they found out that they needed more scenes and shots to make it more engaging to the audiences. They started filming more shots and scenes for 1 more week. The worst thing that they underestimated was the audio, they couldn’t find or record any audios after 2-3 days of searching finally found the audio that was working for their short film. 

After a month of voice dubbing and editing, they needed to showcase their work but the platform was very limited to only local people, so they decided to upload on YouTube and participate in multiple film festivals. But they still needed the name for their group so they thought of various different names for the group but it wasn’t satisfying and didn’t give any value. They wanted to present their filmmaking capabilities and potential though they didn’t have any prior experiences.

Days after days of thinking about the name of our group we came up with the name called “AS Presentations” which stands for “Aadarsh Sunny Presentations”. So after finalizing our group name and uploaded our short film on YouTube, few musicians contacted us for making music videos for them and we thought of making their group a business for making music videos and short films and photography. And all that happened in the summer of 2017. It took a whole of 1 year to finally get our first client and since then we have made multiple short films, music videos, documentaries, graphic designs, and also competed in multiple film festivals.

And we hope to make more of them in the future to make our audiences entertained and keep supporting us.
